Aside from Kokubun’s marriage announcement via fan mail, the agency seem to be sending lots of mails lately. Well, just one particular mail.

It was reported that Johnny’s Fan Club secretariat sent an email about “Butai appreciation manners caution/warning ” to a certain KAT-TUN Fan Club member. The said mail is sent after the agency saw some impropriety during the stage run of “Aoi Shushi wa Taiyo no Naka ni Aru” that stars KAT-TUN‘s Kamenashi Kazuya. The Ninagawa Yukio produced butai is in Osaka until the 13th.

As for the improper manners observed, it was said that the fan was wearing a huge hat even though the fan was seated on front-middle-center row. The said fan also chatted noisily even when the performance started and when one of the actors splashed some saliva during an enthusiastic performance, the said fan made a roar of laughter which spoiled the entire scene.

Most of the audience aren’t just Kamenashi Kazuya’s fans, there are also fans of Ninagawa Yukio’s works. Kana, who played the role of Marie in the butai, also tweeted about the fan’s improper etiquette while inside the theater.

Kamenashi was noted to be saddened by the fan’s attitude and it was reported that the warning mail was sent per his instructions. During KAT-TUN’s fan meeting at Osaka last year, Kamenashi was reported to have knelt just to make a fan keep quiet.

It’s a good thing that Kame kept his cool because if I were in his position, I’ll ask the fan to leave because he’s bothering the audience and entire production as well. Stage plays are performed live and they don’t need a distraction that might make them forget their lines.

So here is this week’s Q&A : Nobuta Power On

This is not a question but I want to share this story. I got introduced into Johnny’s because of Nobuta wo Produce and frankly, I didn’t like Kame and Yamapi. That drama reeks of bad hairstyle, bad hair job, awful fashion, and Kame’s eyebrows is distracting. I don’t like Nobuta as well, I just hate weak female characters. Well, it wasn’t until I transferred to a new school in a new country that I began to associate myself with Nobuta and made me appreciate Shuji and Akira’s efforts to transform Nobuta. I was like, where are those “producers” when you need them? I re-watched Nobuta that year and now, it’s one of my favorite japanese drama. Who cares about their hairstyle? 

I feel the same here, I didn’t like Nobuta at first but it just grows on you. That’s the magic of Shuji and Akira!

Do you agree that Terra formars is a racist manga? 

I haven’t read the manga but there were some talks about it that the humanoid cockroaches looked like Black men. Seriously though, they are cockroaches, they are either brown, dark brown, or black, associating them with Black men is just wrong.

My birthday week is over and so sorry for the lack of updates in this blog. Well, I have to twerk some programs with my PC and work has gotten busier. So, here are the news and not-so news that I missed. Collated from Nov 10th to 15th. Involved parties are: Chinen Yuri, Kimura Takuya, Kamenashi Kazuya, Yamada Ryosuke, 4u, and Nakajima Kento.

• Actress Kimura Tae joins Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Chinen Yuri and Uchimura Teruyoshi in the movie “Kinmedaru otoko” (Gold medal man). The movie tells the story of Akita Izumi who is obsessed in getting the first prize. Chinen will play as the adolescent Akita in the movie.

• The nominees have been announced for the “40th Hochi Film Award” and three of them are from Johnny’s! They are SMAP‘s Kimura Takuya for “HERO“, KAT-TUN‘s Kamenashi Kazuya for “Joker Game“, and Hey!Say!JUMP‘s Yamada Ryosuke for “Ansatsu Kyoushitsu” and “Grasshopper“. Wow, double nominations for Yamada! How about Toma? During the 39th Hochi Film Awards, V6’s Okada Junichi took home the Best Actor trophy. Will it be another Johnny’s this year?

• Johnny’s Jr. Unit, “4U“, will be starring in the stage play “REPAIR“. I’m not yet sure about the plot but based from the introduction, it will be a story about 4 youths who are working in a car repair shop and have lost their sight on their goals…

• Prequel SP’s are becoming a trend in Johnny’s nowadays. After the success of “Kinkyori Renai~Season Zero”, Sexy Zone‘s Nakajima Kento‘s upcoming movie, “Kurosaki-kun“, will be getting two consecutive drama SPs December of this year. I’m not sure if people will be interested to see the movie after the drama SP because the movie’s trailer doesn’t leave much to be desired. If you feel like checking-out the trailer, click HERE.

Sad news, something that I totally didn’t expect…

KAT-TUN‘s Junnosuke Taguchi announces that he will be leaving KAT-TUN in spring of 2016. Junno made the announcement during “Best Artist 2016” where KAT-TUN is one of the performers.

Before KAT-TUN’s performance, Arashi‘s Sakurai Sho, the show’s MC, tells the audience that Junno has an announcement to make. Junno took over and says that he will be leaving KAT-TUN (and Johnny’s) in spring of next year. The venue was filled with heartbreaking surprise, of course, who wouldn’t?! Junno adds that he’s almost 30 and he’s thinking on how he should live his life in the future. Junno also apologized to his fellow members.

Sakurai took over again and says that it’s not just in the venue, but the entire nation must be in shock with the sudden announcement. Kamenashi Kazuya also took over and apologized to everyone, from officials to fans, and to NTV for using the station’s time to make an announcement.

In 2010, Akanishi Jin left the group to focus on his solo career, then Tanaka Koki was fired from Johnny’s in 2013. KAT-TUN will be celebrating their 10th anniversary next year, which is in time of Junno’s departure from KAT-TUN and Johnny’s Entertainment.

Okay, I’m still freaking-out. Seriously freaking-out. Did Junno’s girlfriend got pregnant or something and he needs to get married?! Well, for those who haven’t seen the announcement, Kame looks seriously pissed when they went onstage, I’m sure that they were told on what is going to happen, and it’s just too sudden and why it must be done on national TV?! I’m full of questions now, I hope it can be answered in due time.

If all thieves is like Kame then I’ll leave my door open. haha.

It was announced that KAT-TUN‘s Kamenashi Kazuya will star in NTV‘s “Kaito Yamaneko (Phantom Thief)” that will air on Jan 16 next year. The said drama is based from Kaminaga Manabu‘s “Kaito Tantei Yamaneko” series, Kaminaga is also the author of “Shinrei Tantei Yakumo”.

“Kaito Yamaneko” tells the story of a genius thief who steals fortunes from the bad guys, exposes their dirty deeds, and he does all these by using a brilliant trick. You might think that this is like Yamapi’s “Kurosagi”, but the difference is that no one hires Yamaneko to steal and he gets all the loot. “Kaito Yamaneko” is Kamenashi’s comeback drama with NTV since “Tokyo Bandwagon“.

In other Kamenashi-related news, Kame have been appointed as an image model of the jewelry brand called “Bijoude“. Kamenashi will be featured in the company’s newest CM wearing their items such as bracelet, necklace, and ring. Also in the CM, Kamenashi will be singing Bijoude’s song titled “VANILLAKISS” while playing the guitar. Bijoude’s brand new website will be coming-up is less than 20 hours so expect to see Kamenashi in it soon.

Anyway, “Kaito Yamaneko (Phantom Thief)” will air on Jan 16th on NTV at 09:00 PM (JST).

It’s my first Rants & Raves for this year so I’m pretty excited to write this. I know that the news from Johnny’s world has been pretty stressful as of late so I’ll try to make this post a bit cheery if my ranting self can help it.

Here is Rants & Raves : Come and Go

• Kanjani8’s Okura Tadayoshi is back to work after missing the finale of his group’s live tour due to intestinal obstruction. Okura underwent a surgery and he wrote a message to everyone to inform that his appetite is returning little by little.

Rants : The glutton is back! He should be on NPO for like days.

Raves : Glad that Okura is back, his recovery powers is fast.

• If there are online petitions for SMAP to stay via change.org, there’s also an online petition to oust Mary Kitagawa from Johnny’s. The votes are overwhelming and fans are hopeful that it will pressure Johnny Kitagawa.

Rants : I’m pretty sure that Johnny and Mary don’t give a shit about online petition. They never cared about SNS and kept the Johnny’s website to minimum so why would they give a damn on online voting?

Raves : I salute whoever did this petition, that’s pretty courageous. However, despite everything else, Mary is a family and that’s one thing that people can’t change. Whether we accept it or not, she’s part of the Johnny’s brand as it’s the family business.

Rants : On the lighter note, Mary looks like Johnny. They can switch wigs and nobody will be able to tell. haha

• Nagase Tomoya’s “TOO YOUNG TO DIE!” movie gets postponed. The movie will hit the theaters on Feb 6th in light of the ski bus accident in Japan, which will be quite similar to a certain scene from the movie. Watch the trailer and you’ll see.

Rants : My condolonces and it’s good that the producers are sensitive enough to hold the movie.

Raves : Condolence too.

• SMAP won’t be penalized for wanting to leave Johnny’s, the sincere apology is enough. 

Rants : Of course it should be enough, it was a very humiliating apology. If I were in their position, I want to become a bear and go into hibernation.

Raves : I would rather go into hibernation than make a public apology as if I’m still in 6th grade and was caught cheating.

Rants : Thinking about that apology scene, they all look pretty downcast except for Kimura. They all look beaten.

Raves : It was a very awkward moment and I don’t want to recall it so let’s move on.

• I can’t move on yet, SMAP is said to do a “National Apology Tour” in spring. 

Rants : So are they gonna do an apology again?

Raves : They should do it like Justin Bieber and write a song about it.

Rants : Now that you mention it, a song on apologies might be a good thing to do. Probably, they can ask Becky to join them in a PV.

Raves : ahahaha

• NEWS’s Shigeki Kato shared in “K-chan News” that he watch “JOKER GAME” incognito. Its like a real-life spy game.

Rants :  I wonder if he also watched “Pink to Gray”.

• Kamenashi Kazuya’s “Kaito Yamaneko” earns 14% in ratings for its pilot episode

Rants : That’s pretty high for Kame’s drama.

Raves : Except for Tsuyoshi’s “The Specialist” that has 17% for its pilot, Kame’s drama is pretty high. I can’t wait to see this one.

• Speaking of drama ratings, one columnist wrote that because of the SMAP saga, Tsuyoshi and Shingo’s drama are doing pretty well in the ratings game.

Rants : Because some people are probably assuming that it might be the last drama for the two.

Raves : Both dramas have good plot. The Specialist is already in its 3rd season while Shingo’s drama has a stellar cast. I’m sure that the SMAP drama added to people’s curiosity to watch the drama but making them watch again is a different matter.

• V6’s Miyake Ken joins Hideaki Takizawa in “Takizawa Kabuki 2016”

Rants : No overseas performance this time Tackey?

Aiba Masaki landed first place thanks to his smile, kindness, honesty and his sincerity. A comment said that they wanted to see Ohno’s “kusha” face. It means a huge smile or something like that, I think. I googled the image and here’s one. Another one wanted to see Jun’s embarrassed face when he receives chocolate. Sakurai Sho was most likely to receive it in a gentlemen way, if that makes sense. Lastly, Matsumoto Jun & Domoto Tsuyoshi seems to be the type to seriously think about returning the favour, if you allow me to say that.

The reason why Ninomiya doesn’t get much chocolates is probably because he spat out chocolate that he received, right in front of the girl who gave it to him, saying it was disgusting. Well, she’s the one at fault who probably took salt for sugar… and Nino is the victim…

After the stress of Valentine’s Day, it’ll be the stress of White Day, where we find out if we get rejected or not… Yay…

• Arashi’s “Fukkatsu Love” is out on the 24^th of Feb and Ikuta Toma is in the MV. Written by Yamashita Tatsurou and his wife, Takeuchi Mariya, Fukkatsu LOVE is a love song that broke my heart, the lyrics are really great, and I’m not cringing at the English. • Arashi’s Matsumoto Jun will be a guest on Tokyo FM’s Japamon on the 21^st of February, according to the program’s official website. Now this is interesting because I never heard Jun on radio and I wanna. Some rumors on Facebook claims he’s going to be talking about his new drama [99.9] which will air in Spring, but no confirmations yet. Jnews1

• SMAP’s Inagaki Goro’s stage play, “Koi to Ongaku FINAL” have finished their run in Osaka Theater Drama City. The stage play will continue in PARCO Theater, Tokyo and tickets are on sale now. Jnews1

With Taguchi Junnosuke leaving in March, the dome tour finishing in May, and a hiatus right after, we cannot say for sure, whats in store for KAT-TUN from now on.

We learned from the NHK General Broadcast Conference, that the shows that KAT-TUN are currently hosting are under “consideration, and that nothing has been decided yet”.

After the Dome tour ends in May, KAT-TUN will be going on a hiatus, in order to “re-charge” after everything that has been going on lately. Which leads us to the TV Station trying to figure out what to do with the TV Shows they are currently hosting.

TBS’s KAT-TUN Sekai Ichi Tame ni Naru Tabi will have its last episode on the 25^th of March, but for NHK’s Shounen Club, nothing has been decided yet.

And rumors of Kamenashi’s solo debut surfaces as opinions from sources connected to the industry are being collected.

A professional working in the entertainment industry says, “For sure, the one who is safe is Kamenashi Kazuya. He’s doing dramas, and right now he’s doing “Yamaneko, the Phantom Thief”. He’s also a sportscaster, he’s not dumb, and he also have good attitude.”

It seems that after KAT-TUN will go in hiatus, Kamenashi will most likely be debuting as a solo act. After Taguchi’s departure, it’s really hard realistically for the group to continue their activities.

Kamenashi was a part of the duo “Shuuji & Akira” and released “Seishun Amigo” which sold about 1,627,000 copies, and back in December, he also had a solo song for his CM for Bijoude. And people suspect that to be one of the signs that they were trying to make us anticipate his solo debut.

Compared to Nakamaru and Ueda, Kamenashi seems to have all sorts of backing for himself. But the other aren’t as badly off as people make sound of it.

Ueda has been boxing for a while now, and he’s been on Honoo-no Taiiku-kai TV. He’s also established his image as a boxer-idol, and he could continue that path and keep himself on TV. Someone also said that he’s always been hardworking and runs 10km every day for his training.

As for Nakamaru, his work as a newscaster has been really positive. “Every week, he always makes sure to bring the best coverage for his corner, he follows the news, and the keeps an eye on the audience, and that gives him a really great experience. He will definitely start to appear more and more on news programs and variety shows.” claims one of the sources.

On the topic of the dome tour, they said, “For the normal KAT-TUN, filling up the seat would have been a bit difficult, but due the fact that KAT-TUN are only three, and that they would be going into a “re-charging” period, people will be scrambling for the tickets to see them.”

I scouted Johnnys Watcher, and the author wrote a little bit about how it would be nice if Yamapi who’s starting to get his solo career as a singer back, and Kamenashi who’s rumored to debut, to form a duo, release new music and go on tour. At the same time, it would show the fans, they got rid of the problems with the factions, and the fans out be reallyyyy happy about it.

I actually want to see that again, another Shuuji & Akira, kind of thing. I mean, they are really cute and cool together. But sadly for us, its really far fetched, and I wonder what Johnny-san even do these days…  But hey, on a brighter note the song for Bijoute was not bad. Check it out below.

And for KAT-TUN’s future, I just hope they don’t disband. I don’t know and I cannot think of anything they can become to avoid it, but I jsut can’t find anything. I think as long as they don’t disband, its fine by me. I also read comments on Facebook and Tumblr about how they should bring Toma in, or another Junior or something like that. But Toma is really random. If anything, Toma’s Arashi’s 6th member, at least for me. Let me know what you guys think!

Movie news from three of my favourites Johnny’s actors: Kazama Shunsuke & Morita Go will be bringing us movies this May 2016, while Kamenashi Kazuya will be on the silver screen next year.

• Kamenashi Kazuya will be starring in the movie adaptation for the SF (sci-fi) novel “Beautiful Star” by Mishima Yukio, along side with Lily Franky.

The novel tells the story of a family who are convinced that they are aliens assigned to protect the Earth. The movie adaption will be set in modern times. Lily Franky (Martian) will be playing a weather man, and Kamenashi (Mercurian) will be playing his son, a freeter with dark ambitions.

The movie also stars
Hashimoto Ai (a Venusian), the oldest daughter who has a complex about her beauty, and Nakajima Tomoka will be playing an “Earthling” who’s interest is business.

The movie will be released in May 2017.

• Kazama Shunsuke in “Shoujo Tsubaki“

It has been revealed that Kazama Shunsuke will be playing a circus freak with super powers, Wonder Masamitsu.

14-years-old Midori (Risa Nakamura), who doesn’t have a family, is picked by the Aka Neko circus troupe. Wanda Masamitsu (Shunsuke Kazama) has supernatural powers and he joins the same circus troupe. Midori has an affinity for Wanda, but she is afraid of him. Wanda gets members of the circus troupe to follow him using his supernatural powers and even commits murder.  AsianWiki 

Additional cast are, Morino Misaki, SuG’s Takeru, Daiki Saeki, Fukami Motoki, Nakatani Akihito, Torii Miyuki and Torihada Minoru.

• Morita Go in “Himeano~ru“

Okada (Hamada Gaku) lives a very boring life where nothing really ever happens. One day, his senpai Ando (Muro Tsuyoshi), from his part-time job, asks him to help him with his crush on the cute Yuka (Satsukawa Aimi), who works at a coffee shop. There, Okada meets Morita Shouichi (Morita Go), a old classmate from back in high school.

Yuka tells Okada that she thinks that Morita is stalking her, and from that Okada gets a bad feeling about Morita, since Morita has been harshly bullied back in high school.

The movie will be released on May 28th 2016.
